massimo sordi
Massimo Sordi received his degree in architecture from the University of Venice (IUAV). At the end of the 80s, he began working as a photographer with a special interest in reading the contemporary landscape. Since 2001, he has worked as a contract professor for the Alma Mater Studiorum of the University of Bologna, and lectures on the history and techniques of photography at the "Aldo Rossi" Faculty of Architecture in Cesena. Together with Stefania Rössl curates the international festival of photography SI Fest (Savignano Immagini Festival www.sifest.net) and the project on emerging international photography Global Photography, published in catalogues and exhibited in many cities 2009-2012. In 2008 he has invited by Linea di Confine per la Fotografia Contemporanea to work in Rubiera territory during the construction of TAV Milan to Bologna. In 2009 he made a photographic campaign on contemporary architecture in India, published in Italy by Motta-24 Ore and in France by Actes Sud. In 2010 he has invited as a visiting professor for a summer school in Albania, organized by the Polytechnic University of Tirana and the Politecnico di Bari. In 2010 was published his first monograph Indian Photographs (Alinea ed, Florence). In 2011 he took part of a documentation project in the 150th anniversary of the Unification of Italy, promoted by Autostrade per l'Italia and Mercedes Benz and showed in 2012 at the Festival Different Dimension (Novosibirks, Russia).
